Unleash Military Automata From Anvil Industry For Sci-Fi Wargames
December 16, 2025 by brennon
Anvil Industry recently introduced some new miniatures to their collection for those looking to dive into Sci-Fi wargaming. If you've ever wanted to take the fight to the enemy with squads of military-grade robots, they have you covered with some new Military Automata kits.

The miniatures that you see here are provided as a kit that Anvil will 3D print on demand. You will get a mixture of different heads, torsos, legs and of course arms, which come with a mixture of weaponry. Whilst here, I have just shown the Light Automata, you can also get your hands on Medium Automata that are slightly more heavily armoured.

There are options for rifles, pistols and heavier weapons alongside weapons for your assault squads that include knives so they can get up close and personal! If you'd like to level up your miniatures, you can also get Automata with Jump Boosters but also as Drone Operators, giving you some specialists to use in your games.

If you're a fan of the likes of Titanfall or some of the more modern Call of Duty games, these might tick a few boxes for you. I was talking about these miniatures with a friend and we thought it would be great to see these used in Stargrave as a themed crew! You could have them work as automata/robots who broke free of their coding and are now traversing the galaxy looking to make their own way in the world.
They could be led by a favourite from the collection, the Prototype Automata.

Use him as the Captain of your Stargrave crew! He comes with the added bit of detail in the scarf around his neck, marking him out as a bit more of an individual. Of course, he also gets a massive rock for him to put his foot on. Perfect for a dynamic new character to lead your force.
Could you be tempted to snap up some of these Automata for your own games?

The Light Automata Combat Squad (especially the head) remind me of the villain from Robocop II (Cain was his name, I think?)
