Ooh yeah I like that idea for spies. I’m still trying to think of which direction to go with it but that idea will definitely be added to the list. Logistics on such a large scale has always fascinated me so […]

I’ve had a look Into that post and I may be able to get the same sort of effect in a similar way using Photoshop. Thanks for bringing that post to my attention it’ll more than likely be what I use to get my rotor effects!

I’m pleased to see the design update finally got done. A bit disappointed that we now get something so similar to Chaos Warriors but I’m sure to get a couple of boxes.

Yes, there’s plenty of depth in Ravening Hordes to make a Chaos-Beastmen allied army – which would look awesome with these new Marauders. That’s my plan. I have a Chaos Lord on Manticore to lead them to give som […]

These marauders explicitly represent Norscaans….the Darkoath ‘Conan’ aesthetic marauders more closely resemble the old marauders. So I guess you could use the Darkoath to represent the Kurgan tribes while these […]

@torros – exactly as @somegeezer says – no reason why you can’t. Mine is almost the same mini too (maybe a few years older?)

It depends on how you’re playing. If you just stick to the lists from ravening hordes then that’s all you need. If you want more flavour then yes, buy more books.

@torros I don’t make the rules but I think there’s no reason you shouldn’t enter the same mini

I’m away for a few weeks tomorrow (7am flight) so haven’t managed to get a full diorama or the rest of the gang painted up. But here’s my entry for this month’s “spooky” painting contest.

I’d have liked more time to finish painting the rest of the gang (they’re all “base coated” but not really to a standard you’d want to include in anything and…[Read more]

I do like the look & feel of these figures. I just can’t help but feel annoyed reading that if I wanted to use them in the game they were designed for I’d have to buy 3 books. The classic ‘Realm of Chaos’ […]

I think the darkoath marauders have a more conan the barbarian feel whereas these are more viking like. I wouldn’t dare to guess what office politics goes on behind the decisions GW makes, but I’m sure it is […]

This one has been on my radar for a while now, but it’s always been in the “one game too many” column. The setting seems fascinating though, it looks like an interesting mix of Dune and Battlestar Galactica. I may […]
