@limburger I will heartily disagree on sports evolution; hockey is ALWAYS changing, for example. Even how equipment is worn never mind the players.

Outside of the custom measurement sticks and dice, the fact that you could have a full force with 2 boxes (~100 dollars) is great. There is more than enough stuff too… though I will be sad if there isn’t an […]

Agreed; corp-speak is just so … circular. And dull. And based on quarterly results for shareholders. Blech.

“industry veteran” is such an empty term. It could easily refer to someone who was fired for being crap at his job …

Had another email from Modiphius about the Discworld RPG. Reminder to everyone to complete pledge manager. I did that last month.
Apparently 3000 people still not filled in pledge manager, that’s 1 in 6 roughly. Makes no sense to me that they wouldn’t fill it in.

Refresh as and when needed, not because it is ‘time’ to do so.
No game is ever going to be perfect.
It is ridiculous to expect such things. The better question : are the flaws big enough to warrant a refresh or are they merely part of how the game plays?
The GW model is beyond stupid. They do updates for the sake of doing updates.

I used to work for Royal Mail and know that the official line is that tracked are not being prioritied, but from my experience and what my former colleagues tell me, that’s bullshit.
The government want to speak to them in parliament about failing to deliver letters.
So in short, your concerns about 2nd class are valid. Unless you have a 1st…[Read more]

Interestinger and Interestinger…
I always disliked Privateer Press for their unabashed, win at all costs attitude. It was like the GW tourney scene on the biggest steroids one could get down the shadiest back alley. “Play like you’ve got a pair” was their literal slogan. BARF.
The club I was running had a schism around the time the PP tourney…[Read more]

Pledge Update: I just had an email from North Star and my Warriors of Athena order has been dispatched. Cue boundless joy. Then read the small print and it is coming second class post. Not here tomorrow then and realistically I shouldn’t expect it before Wednesday afternoon although I might get lucky and it will get here on Tuesday.
