Well there is nothing wrong with confiscating flaming swords, providing you do it under the correct Health and Safety legislation. That way the Wizard has absolutely no comeback.

but if the spell causes damage … that surely can’t be a failed spell ?
and I’d say there probably is a way to cheese spellcasting if all you need is to cause some kind of damage with your spell failures.

Oh wow! I see this is based on the mid 1980s TV series Robin of Sherwood, which I adored and funnily enough watched in its entirety a few months ago (its free on ITVX if anyone is interested). This one is a must have for me.
