@dags The plastics for boardgames is a big hit. I hadn’t considered much outside sprue based model boxes.
Transportation costs for all will go up. Looking at cutting distance, perhaps precursor material sourcing could move to the EU or in North America. It goes to environmental regulations at that point but costs are reduced from travel expense.…[Read more]

I’m going to start a new games festival called “Inepticon”, where everything is always going horribly wrong. Need an opponent? Probably screwed that up. Paint contest judges? Useless. Prizes? For everyone and n […]

Things have been… suspiciously quiet over at Wyrd Games lately. Not the peaceful kind of quiet where everything runs smoothly. No — this is the kin […] -

Very nice paint at scale. It’s always amazing for box art but the treadplate for the deck is awesome. The same goes for detailing the crew.

Very clean sculpts. I got one of the turtle helmet spearmen as a freebie in an order a couple years back.

@pagan8th I like where you are going with those but I think you might need to workshop them a bit. You need a phrase that makes a snappy acronym, like @sundancer ‘s POO.
@grantinvanman My MOM is a mountain of madness so that checks out 😀

“My security blanket made of metal, plastic and resin…”
I know that weighted blankets are a thing but imagining a blanket made from all my metal minis… I’d be dead by daylight XD

I have an idea for what the pile could be and although it’s not generally in my nature to be upbeat, but I have suggestions…
“An investment in my mental health…”
“Cheaper than a psychiatrist…”
“My security blanket made of metal, plastic and resin…”
“Companion for those lonely times…”
I realise that those are a bit long winded…[Read more]

@zoidpinhead – great question! While self-deprecating humour can be motivational, when it takes on a level of genuine shame, you’re right: it’s defeating.
My mountain of madness is always full of potential … for example 😁

Pledge: Get my nearly painted Warriors of Athena party finished and play the first scenario. Secondary pledge, sell my house. I’ve got a second viewing booked by some people who saw it on Saturday and I’m doing the tour as they want me to do it, not the agent. Fingers crossed.

I’ve had my fill of paint for today. I’ve been killing mould and then painting over the stragglers.
Waiting for the paint to dry now.
Soon have my kitchen back in a semblance of order.
Right now I’m sitting in a comfy chair (no sign of the spanish inquisition thankfully) and sipping my nth cup of tea of the day (I drink a lot of tea and…[Read more]

Wording is important! Hence why I call it
POO – Pile Of Opportunity
POP – Pile Of Potential
Everybody needs to poo and once you pop, you can’t stop. No, I don’t know where I was going with that XD
