3DBreed Miniatures, who most of us will know for doing some excellent Historical figures, are turning their hand to Fantasy with a new Kickstarter for two armies that begin their Warfane world. Check out these new 3D printable miniatures.

Warfane - 3DBreed Miniatures

Warfane // 3DBreed Miniatures

The first gambit into the world of Fantasy and Warfane from 3DBreed Miniatures features two classic armies. On the one side, you have the Dwarves of Khar-Vhul and on the other, the Orc Tribes of Aeloria. They are part of Warfane, "a living saga of ancient empires, forgotten gods, and endless wars".

Each of the miniatures from the campaign are designed to suit 32mm scale wargaming and has its own, unique look. This will, eventually, sit alongside a full set of wargaming rules that will be free to download alongside all of the lore and faction guides for The Untamed Lands. There is plenty of scope to expand this range and 3DBreed has already teased the undead, lizardfolk, elves, barbarians and more.

Orc Tribes

There are two armies for you to choose from right now, starting with the Orc Tribes of Aeloria, who get all of the core options you'd need for a mass battle, rank-and-flank wargame.

Greenskins Command - Warfane

Greenskins Command // Warfane

To start with, you have the Greenskins Command set, which comes with the leader figures you need for commanding your units of Orcs and Goblins. You also receive the Orc Chieftain in this set, which you can see painted above.

You also get two core units for your arm with Orcs with Spears acting as the solid core of your collection.

Orcs with Spears - Warfane

Orcs with Spears // Warfane

They feel distinctly different from many other Orcs on the market, and it's good to see 3DBreed pursuing their own ideas and aesthetic in their miniature design. There is a smidge of the Far East in their design and that would match with the idea that the Orcs are led by the Great Khans in the lore.

You also have these sneaky little Goblin Archers who are going to be sticking you in the back with arrows from afar.

Goblin Archers - Warfane

Again, the designs are great and I love their expressions! You also get enough sculpts within these two sets that you could build regiments that feel diverse, even if you'll have a few replicated poses. Last but not least, there is also the Orc Catapult, which seems like it has been designed to squish enemies as well as lob rocks at them.

Orc Catapult - Warfane

Orc Catapult // Warfane

It is manned by a gaggle of Goblins who are being whipped into action by an Orc that is going to get his throat slit when he goes to sleep at night. You've even got Goblins in the wheels of the Catapult, preparing it to fire.

Dwarves of Khar-Vhul

Arrayed against the Orcs on the battlefields of The Untamed Lands, we have the Dwarves of Khar-Vul.

Dwarf Command - Warfane

Dwarf Command // Warfane

Much like with the Orcs, you get a full Command Set which features your Dwarf Jarl alongside leaders for your units of Dwarf Warriors and Crossbowmen. I am really taken with the design of the Dwarves from 3DBreed, which is in keeping with a classic Fantasy look but with a few twists here and there.

Doughty, stalwart Dwarf Warriors make up the core of your army, armed as they are with hand weapons and shields.

Dwarf Warriors - Warfane

Dwarf Warriors // Warfane

You can imagine them forming up in big shield walls and blocking the Orcs from pushing forward, spears snapping on those solid shields! I might like Dwarves a bit too much. Nah, no such thing. As well as the Dwarf Warriors, you also have the Crossbowmen.

I am very taken with their helmet design in particular here. Again, I think it gives them a little bit of an Eastern and/or Northern vibe, which makes them sit apart from other Dwarves on the market. They all have fabulous beards, which is always a marker of a good set of miniatures!

Last but not least, the Dwarves also get themselves a bit of artillery with the addition of a Cannon.

Dwarf Cannon - Warfane

That means that both armies have good core units (both ranged and melee) alongside command figures and something a bit special. 3DBreed Miniatures, as always, have more being unlocked throughout the course of the campaign. They are already aiming for new Dwarf and Orc units like Berserkers and gaggles of additional Goblins.

If you like the look of these miniatures, you can get some Free Samples from 3DBreed (try before you buy!) whilst also learning more about the lore they have planned HERE.

I am intrigued to see where 3DBreed Miniatures go with this project!
