Oathsworn Preview New Critters For Burrows & Badgers
October 13, 2025 by brennon
Michael of Oathsworn Miniatures has been sculpting away in the background on a bunch of new miniatures for Burrows & Badgers. There's no release date for these yet but there are plenty of critters waiting in the wings to join your new edition games of this Fantasy skirmish game.
Mole Warrior Priest // Burrows & Badgers
We'll go from oldest to newest when it comes to the previews and start with this heavily armoured Mole Warrior Priest. You could say that this fellow is rather grounded and he sure "digs" smashing the undead into little bits with that hammer of his. I like the idea of a little fellow absolutely laden with armour who can scurry through the earth and pop up where you least expect him.
He would be rather helpful when dealing with this particular spirit!
Squirrel Stable Ghast // Burrows & Badgers
We got a miniature for a Squirrel Stable Ghast that can be used for all of your nefarious, necromantic hijinks on the tabletop. I like the suitably villainous pose for this character, clutching onto his staff of power whilst the undead energies swirl around him. Spooky!
If you're not interested in all of that superstitious nonsense, then you will also be able to get your hands on some Routiers soon for your more military-themed warbands in Burrows & Badgers.
Hedgehog Routier // Burrows & Badgers
Michael sculpted up a set of three Routiers who will make up the mercenary army of General Alban deBrandt's Freebeasts. If you're looking to craft something a bit more English Civil War-like, then this could work very well for the basis of a fun warband.

Mouse Routier // Burrows & Badgers
The Routier miniatures featured a Hedgehog and a couple of Mice in heavy armour. The Hedgehog looks like a prickly customer who could lead the way for your warband. The Mice feel more suited to sentry duty, especially in the poses we have here (above). I could see them falling asleep at their posts!
Maybe they are taking a nap because the real creature in charge, this Witch Hunter Hare, has been pushing them to hunt down nefarious spellcasters?
Witch Hunter Hare // Burrows & Badgers
A great miniature that ticks all of the boxes for me. I always love seeing Witch Hunter miniatures and this one is posed rather heroically. He's clearly in the middle of drawing his weapon to blast away some ghoulish critter that has launched itself from a grave!
Watching from the woods nearby, there was also this miniature for the Hillfolk Clanbeast Shrew.
Hillfolk Clanbeast Shrew // Burrows & Badgers
They come armed with a bow so they can do some sneaky scouting ahead of your main force. As has been pointed out on social media, he also seems extraordinarily angry! Michael insists he's just grumpy but I think he might have a bone to pick with some of those fancy fellows from down south.
Maybe he was ticked off by this delightful fellow who also made his way into the mix?
Illuminator-Sergeant Weasel // Burrows & Badgers
Illuminator-Sergeant Weasel was sculpted as a nod to Warhammer 40,000 and those cruel Commissars that you see prowling the battlefield looking for wavering soldiers. He certainly has the look of someone stalking forward, hiding his hammer behind his back so he can crack someone around the head for insubordination! Someone is really going to have to rehabilitate the nature of Weasels with folks like this stalking around the world of Burrows & Badgers!
Last but not least, we got a recent addition to the previews with this Badger Routier, who is just a little bit late for National Badger Day.
Badger Routier // Burrows & Badgers
He's clad in some suitably heavy armour and carries a hefty spear with a flag draped from it. You could have a lot of fun painting the freehand on that flag, or skip the hassle and source yourself a suitable set of transfers! I sense I might be getting a few of these Routiers if enough of them join the collection.
As mentioned, there's no hard and fast date for when these miniatures will join the Burrows & Badgers collection but it's great to see what's going on behind the scenes!
Will you be picking up some of these new Burrows & Badgers miniatures when they're available?
