Place Information

The Nottingham Board and Wargames club is a tabletop gaming club based in or around the Centre of Nottingham. It was created by Matt Anderson and Gary Powell in order to encourage more gamers in the ‘Lead Belt’ to forgo the normal isolated style of gaming and be much more inclusive.

While many people happily game at a friends or colleagues home they decided that gaming was more than just moving pieces around the table it was about having fun, socialising and learning about other great games out there by gamers impassioned over the game's they play.

And its about drinking beer.

What We are up to

The club operates on a weekly basis with regular gaming nights, and gathers a rather elective mix and as such can create a mix of boardgamers and tabletop miniature gamers, so we have now created a new Monthly Monday Night Battles especially designed for miniature gamers, this is a great chance to try something new.. And a Co-Partnership with the Nottingham RPG Nexus Group to help GM's & Players Meet-Up in Notts.

The club also offer play testing services free for anyone interested in getting Feedback (Pop down and chat to us) and is part of the ProjectTHISNG organisation and teamed with HobbySpotzz
Club Costs

The Club operates a free to play and try for your first event, and then charges a standard £5 per session (Subs), however this does provide the club member two (2) drink vouchers worth £1.00 each. We do accept £5 Subs for new members as it all helps fund the club.

Or at the start of the month a £20 Voucher with 10 Vouchers. We charge this way in order to enable venues to be able to lend out the room but recover costs via drink orders. This helps keep over heads down. The Club also offers a subscription service to allow regular members to save on club subs but still benefit from all the clubs great rewards, like games, miniatures and other gaming periphial items to make use of.
